Meet Barbara Annis
For more than 20 years, Barbara Annis has been on a quest. What began with a simple question about why men and women think and act differently in the workplace, has turned into a lifetime’s work – and a new mission for Barbara.
Today, as an author and developer of leading edge training programs for companies around the globe, Barbara wants to bring the transformational thinking that comes with Gender Intelligence to every workplace. Over the years she has seen hundreds of organizations flourish because they challenged themselves to learn, and witnessed first-hand the change that gender knowledge brings to executives and employees.
In the book Leadership and the Sexes, Barbara teams up with Michael Gurian, a pioneer in the field of applied gender neurobiology, to deliver leading-edge research along with practical tools to help organizations:
- gain a significant competitive advantage
- improve teamwork, negotiation and leadership skills
- capitalize on more sales opportunities
- improve productivity with gender-balanced meetings
- raise retention rates for women
Since her quest began in 1987, Barbara Annis has been delivering her message of Gender Intelligence around the world, making hundreds of media appearances. Barbara has served on government advisory boards, spoken at global diversity summits and currently serves as chair of the Women’s Leadership Board at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard. In 2008, Barbara helped Nissan Motor Co., win the coveted Catalyst Award for initiatives promoting the advancement of women. It’s her 17th client to win.
Now, with her new book Leadership and the Sexes, Barbara is available to deliver fresh gender insight to organizations with an engaging keynote or interactive workshop.
